When the Cold Wind Blows

I know our calendars aren’t quite caught up yet, but it sure feels like winter to me. The wind and the rain seem to be combining to keep us safely indoors and trying to stay warm. Be assured our drivers will weather the weather and continue to provide superior service during this cold season of the year. While the seasons march onward towards true winter, keep in mind a few of the following tips:

1. Please don’t put ashes in our cans. It seems every year we have someone forget this simple tip and the results aren’t pretty. Save yourself time, money, and stress and prevent melted cans from ruining your day.

2. Watch for our holiday schedule. We only take Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years off, so be ready for those. We will send out more details on the holiday schedule later.

3. Be patient with our drivers during the mud and snow days. We will try as hard as we can to service everyone, but we also want to balance that with not wanting to leave ruts in roads and driveways or even getting stuck on some of the more rural paths we take care of. If you have any questions about the status of your pickup on our crazy days, give us a call. We’ll be glad to let you know what’s going on.

4. Enjoy the season! During these cold days, hold your family closer, drink a warm drink, and be safe. I’ve heard of many a family tradition started when the days were cold and everyone was together inside.

Best wishes to everyone and have a great, if cold, day!
