Rain, mud, and good service

Denzel Washington once said, “You pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too. That’s a part of it.” Oh how true that is. Here in Arizona rain is such a precious commodity and we often pray and hope for more of it, only to be surprised with the mud when our prayers are answered. Isn’t that true of so many things of life? Good things have unintended consequences that sometimes aren’t as pleasant as we would prefer. So it goes.

Here at United Disposal, mud can sometimes put a real kink in our days. Our big trucks and heavy loads can make mincemeat of a muddy driveway and on occasion we can even get stuck in the mud, delaying our service for the day. When those things occur, please understand that we make every effort to service every customer on time during these moments of difficulty. If our drivers make the determination that a particular road is just too muddy to service, please understand that those judgements come from a lot of experience on our sometimes difficult driving surfaces. Sometimes finding the balance between servicing every customer and not leaving ruts takes quite a bit of skill, but our drivers are up to the challenge.

As a commitment to our customers, understand that we will make every effort to pick up all of our cans every service day. If you have any questions or concerns about our service, please give us a call. We can work with you to understand what is going on and what options are available to make sure that your experience with us is smooth and simple. It’s our commitment to all of you. So, have a great week with our wonderful rain, and to add to Mr. Washington’s sentiments, just because rain brings mud doesn’t mean we should stop praying for it.

Best Wishes
